Great news for yet-to-be-born Westin Hale. He underwent intrauterine repair of spina bifida and the doc said the surgery went really well; so well, in fact, that he and mom, Maggie, are about a day ahead of schedule in their recovery. The defect was not as large as they originally thought. Praise the Lord! It's now bedrest for him and mom with dad, Alan, taking over all the duties until he enters this world.

The fundraiser held for the family was a great success. Over $4,000 was raised to help with their expenses during this time.
Sorry to learn of the passing of Whyte Goins, Friday, June 26th. Our sympathy to wife, Layuna and other loved ones.
Sending get well wishes to Larry McAllister who is home after spending a few days in the hospital. Also Sandy Osborne is home and doing well following recent foot surgery.

Sunday, the Zimmer family (Chris, Sara Drue, Drew and Canyon arrived on Hurricane Creek at the home of Eddie and Donna Nichols. The boys are having a ball on the farm especially with the intact snake skin that is longer than either one of them!
They are spending several weeks here between moves - from New York to Texas.

Grandyoung'uns Kullon and Shiloh Patrick spent Saturday night with P-pa and me so dad, Kyle, could take mom, Shannon, out for her birthday.
Sunday, it was a double birthday celebration at our house with Shannon who selected a Snickers Cheesecake for her dessert and grandson, Daxton Patrick's selection was a cheesecake iced with chocolate salted caramel icing. He requested this because he likes cheesecake and he likes the icing or least he likes it on chocolate cake warmed in the microwave; BUT he didn't realize it isn't wise to melt it on cheesecake! It was still good.

The Reeds, Tim, DeAnna, Alayna and Adrianna, were not present due to spending the weekend in Nashville at the Jr. Beta Convention. They were there with 16 Jr. Betas and Diane McAllister. Sorry I don't have all the names of the ones attending.
Despite the rain off and on Tuesday, the Reeds' pool was full of bobbing heads and jumping boys! Karen Stinnett with grandchildren, Cason and Kinsley Stinnett, William and Grant Buterbaugh, Gracie Smith, Rylon and Amaieah Morrison, Kullon and Shiloh Patrick, and Janna Womack and I took on the cold water. Karen and I controlled the pool (yeah, right!) while DeAnna, Alayna and P-pa stayed "on deck". Wait a minute Karen was part of the UN controlled group! Bethany Morrison and Shannon Patrick just had to go shopping at that time! (yeah, right again!) Everyone had a good time in spite of the threatening rain.

If you haven't had breakfast at Jimbo's yet, you oughta come on. Whether you eat or not, it's a good time with lots of friends showing up. One special guest this week, at least for me, was cousin, Donnie Harris of Murfreesboro, whom I hadn't seen in a while. It was good to see him. There are always new "eaters" each week.

Prosperity Baptist Church held a baptismal service Sunday the 18th. Candidates were Memphis Reed and Evan Saddler.
