Get well wishes to Martha Robinson who was hospitalized last week for a few days.

Sunday the 9th was a special day for many veterans as the Nashville Zoo opened up for them and their relatives. Helping veteran Ernest Davis enjoy this special occasion were wife, Rita, Ernestine Tate (who had a great time and is looking good!), Kim and Callie Francis, Jennie, Brooklyn and Londyn Francis, Amanda, Allison and Waylon Francis, Angie, Hannah, and Justin Whited, and Megan Davis.


That same day at Prosperity Baptist Church, Tom Allen, Bro. Don Rigsby, Joe Turner, Ted Ray and Ryan Womack were recognized and thanked for serving our God and country.

That night, the youth of Prosperity hosted a soup meal and took charge of the Evening Worship Service with interpretative movements to several songs and testimonies by Bailey Hayes, Jordan Blackburn and Shelby Clayborn.
Tuesday night, Lisa Reed was on her way to Memphis with son, Zach Davenport, where they enjoyed a game between the Grizzlies and the LA Lakers took place at the FedEx Forum. Although as a Laker fan, she didn't like the loss but truly enjoyed the good time.

Ruth and Marvin Davenport are back home after an almost 2-week cruise all the way to Aruba and back. Their travel mates were friends from Manchester.

Thursday, students of Auburn Elementary enjoyed a trip to the Cannon County Arts Center where they watched "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory".

Basketball season as has begun. Thursday night the 6th was an away game with the Eastside Tigerettes and Tigers. The Lady Knights enjoyed a win while the boys worked hard but were unable to pull off a win.

Monday night the 10th was a home game with the Woodland Warriorettes and Warriors. Both local teams put up a good battle but both came away with a loss.

Schedule for this week includes an away game Tuesday (tonight) with DeKalb West followed by a home game with the Woodbury Lady Cubs and Cubs on Thursday night. Both of these teams include B-team games which begin at 5:00. Regular game times are 6:00 p.m.

Come early to the home games where you can enjoy a delicious hamburger or cheeseburger and other goodies then watch our young athletes turn on.

Putting another year under their belt this week are Teresa Davenport Smith and Tyler Gilley on the 19th, Linda Hayes on the 20th, T.G. George who hits his 14th on the 21st, Ted Freeman on the 23rd, Chuck Danford on the 24th and Robin Yule Burkhead on the 25th. Happy happy birthday you all.

Roy Nelson and Kathy Pugh celebrate their 22nd anniversary on the 21st. Bobby and Joelene Bobo have their 40th on the 22nd. Chris and Joanie Blackburn hit their 24th on the 23rd and Steve and Carlene Judkins have their 13th on the 24th. Happy anniversary to all of you. Wishing you many more.
