Wednesday, November 5, 2014 9:02 am By ANNA PATRICK Saturday, November 15th, be sure to be in Woodbury. If you like to run, be there at 8:00 a.m. for the 5K Beard Run. At noon, it's the fall colors car show around the square followed by a chili supper and auction at the Community Center from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. This event is being called "Day for Dan Fundraiser". Dan Kennedy was injured in his work, underwent emergency surgery at Vanderbilt and has been out of work since that time. He is to be out at least another 6 months. This is to help with his living expenses. Be sure to come out and support this family. It was a beautiful night for a wiener roast and hay ride as well as a Halloween Party and that's what took place. The annual wiener roast and hay ride sponsored by Prosperity Baptist Church and hosted by Randy and Cheryl Campbell was enjoyed by a host of people. There was pumpkin painting for the young set, corn hole tournaments for the older set and a lot of good food on hand. The night was ended with a hay ride. Shiloh Marie Patrick made her first visit to Nanna and Ppa's Saturday night while big brother, Kullon, attended the above event with Tim, DeAnna, Alayna and Adrianna Reed. Rylon and Amaieah Morrison spent the night with Ryan and Janna Womack and also enjoyed the event. The 6th, 7th and 8th grades enjoyed a field trip to Cumberland Caverns Wednesday the 29th. It's BASKETBALL TIME! First game for the Lady Knights and Knights is this Thursday night with the Eastside Tigers on their home court. Game time is 6:00 p.m. Take a look at our young athletes. Happy birthday tomorrow (again Wednesday) to Rita Davis, Mark Duggin, Ricky Scott and Sheila Williams. It's the 12th year for Anna Faye Leach on the 6th. Twins J.C. and J.B. Hughes celebrate the same day with a set of quads, Erin, Kristen, Garrett and Marshall McReynolds and that's on the 7th. Lucas Mullinax has cake and ice cream on the 8th. The 9th celebrants are Lynn Ellis, Rex Gaither and Kendall Duggin. Tyler King and Gretchen Gaither have the 10th sown up and Graham Jackson and Quinton Dodd end the week's wishes on the 11th.
