Staff By ANNA PATRICK It was March 2nd of this year when Ann Gannon Parker went home to be with the Lord. On June 14th, her husband, Truitt Parker, of 58 years joined her. We extend our prayers and love to their family and loved ones. The Women's Prayer Cross Ministry of Prosperity Baptist Church has lost a lady who made the crosses. Hearts are saddened by the loss of Lottie Cook who passed away at the age of 94 but kept her hands busy not only supplying the crosses but also passing them out to anyone who came near her. Our prayers and love also to her family and loved ones. It's great to learn Brian Duggin is improving rapidly and may even get to come home soon. Friday the 13th started out gloomy, raining, even a little stormy but by late afternoon, it turned into a beautiful day topped off by a beautiful night for a wedding. This was the night Janna Olivia Reed became the bride of Ben Ryan Womack. They are now home after honeymooning in Myrtle Beach, SC. Richard and Barbara Harris of Macon, GA returned from visiting friends in KY. They were here for the wedding but also enjoyed a good time at Barbara's "Cousin Reunion" held Saturday afternoon in Alexandria. Jewell Patterson Dale arrived from Tunnel Hill, GA to attend the wedding but also to stay a few days' longer. She with our kids and their kids (minus the Womacks, of course) were here to help P-pa celebrate Father's Day. It was a surprise for Diane McAllister when she entered the Fellowship building of the Auburn Church of Christ Saturday the 14th. Thinking it was a "selling" party of some kind, she was struck with "Happy Birthday" when upon entering the building filled with family and loved ones. So shocked was she was that she asked about the item(s) for sale not believing the event was all for her!! The Jr. and Sr. Betas with many chaperones are touring Washington, DC and getting ready for the National Beta Convention in Richmond, VA. The Jrs. Left out ea-a-r-rly Wednesday morning. Cason Shirley begins our birthday wishes on the 26th. For the 27th it's Amy Hastings, Charlotte Wimley and Shannon Patrick who celebrate. Adam Jones turns 8 on the 28th. Finishing out the month on the 30th are Sarah Beth Cheatham Sandes, Leslie Lee and Daxton Charles Patrick who now an official witness and signer of documents! Opening up the month of July with a birthday are Teresa Morris, Martha Robinson and Ann Toombs. Happy, happy days to all of you. As of June 25th, Linda and Phillip Hayes will spend 43 years of wedded bliss. That same day in 1988 Blake and Tammy O'Neal celebrate their big day. June 29th is when Jack and Kathy Hays celebrate their 40th and Ralph and Joyce Coe celebrate their 56th. Happy anniversary to all of you.
