Sympathy is extended to Amanda Sissom Francis on the death of her grandfather, Carl Sissom, who passed away Wednesday the 23rd.

Am sending the news in early this week due to P-pa undergoing one more (his 4th) fusion of his lumbar vertebrae. We are home (prayerfully since I am writing this on Sunday the 27th) and doing well. The surgery was done Monday, the 28th at St. Thomas Midtown, Nashville.

Friday the 25th, Ruth and Marvin Davenport, Robbie Owen, P-pa and I enjoyed a meal together at Kilgore's.
Linda Hayes and her niece, Vicky Huffines traveled to Chicago, IL, where they spent the weekend helping Linda's daughter, Ashley Hayes, celebrate her last year in the 20's.

The Regional Children's, Youth and High School Bible Drills were held the 26th at Washington Avenue Baptist Church in Cookeville. Representing the Salem Association were Caitlyn Crook and Kiley Hughes from Auburn Baptist and Noah Brown and Lucas Roberts from Salem Baptist. Congratulations to Caitlyn Crook and Kiley Hughes on being State Superior Bible Drill winners. Noah Brown was State Superior Winner and received the 3-year Children's Drill trophy. Lucas Roberts received the State Winner Seal. Going for support were Colin Crawley, Kaylee Rusnock and Emma and Lila Hughes.

It was a beautiful Saturday to celebrate a Silver Wedding Anniversary and to host a horse show.
John and Kim Francis were guests of honor at Auburn Baptist Church Recreation Center that day for their 25th year together. Children, Jennie Francis, Jonathan Francis and Callie Francis had planned this as a surprise but the closer the time got, the more concerned they were that John would show up in his working clothes. So to make sure he was clean, they told him.

It was decorated beautifully, John looked good and Kim was beautiful. Congratulations!
