Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Stephen Powers and family on the sudden death of his daughter, Hannah. May you feel God's arms wrapped around you.

Ernest Davis was back in the hospital for an overnight stay to check out his heart rhythm. Wife, Rita, is suffering with severe knee problems. We wish both of them a speedy recovery.

It's Fall Break for Cannon County students, teachers, etc. Get out and enjoy the beautiful foliage. Some counties have just completed their break.

Wilma and Gene Harris are home having survived several days' stay in the Smokies with family members Jerry and Beverly Bryan, Martye Harris, Nick, Leah, Nick, Elijah, Allie and Maya Wilson and Rebecca, Josh, Maggie and Levi Tate. It's always fun to get away with your family.

Thirty-five ladies were in attendance Saturday morning at Auburn Baptist Church for the Women's Conference. An impressive, inspirational and motivational experience was had by church members and guests. Karen Solise, guest speaker, has a passion for God, people and sharing the Word. Door prizes were given.

Saturday night was a fun night at the Milton Pumpkin Patch for Tim, DeAnna, Janna, Alayna and Adrianna Reed, Ryan Womack, Case Isenhart, Mark, Vicky, Haley and Brett Walker and Jordan Blackburn

Patrick Thomas of Cedar Grove spent Wednesday night with parents, Betty and Terry. They left out for New Market, TN to do more trail riding and visiting with friends.

A great turnout for the chicken fried chicken dinner sponsored by the Auburn cheerleaders. They want to say a big thanks to everyone who helped and each one who attended. Todd Hollandsworth makes a great "wife" for wife Tracy as he is a good cook!

Marna Higgins and Johnny Kennedy celebrate their birthday on the 23rd. Donna Gunter celebrates hers the 24th. It's Betsy Leach's day on the 25th with Lynne Jackson celebrating hers on the 26th. Paula Saddler adds another year on the 27th with Kathy O'Neal doing the same on the 27th and on the 29th Joyce Coe gets her cake and ice cream. Happy birthday to all of you.

Happy anniversary to Eddie and Donna Nichols on the 25th, to Doug and Cheyrel Pursell on the 27th and Ed and Kathryn Faille on the 28th.
