She lived a vibrant life for 103 years before God called her to her final home Saturday, August 24th following a massive stroke Friday. Our prayers to the loved ones of Mrs. Mallie Taylor.

P-pa and I returned home Tuesday following a 6-day stay at Baptist (oops, St. Thomas Midtown) Hospital. He went under the knife twice for back surgery. Thank you to each and every one who sent up prayers, called, asked or any other kindness you showed to us. He is doing better - standing straight and tall!

SHE'S HERE! Amaieah Grace Morrison arrived Thursday morning the 28th at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma. She weighed in at 8 lbs., 9 oz and was 20 inches in length. Big brother, Rylon, was possessive and loving of her. Mom, Bethany, and dad, Sam, are doing well. Of course, P-pa and I are proud grandparents.

Congratulations to Jordan Turney who was awarded the Cannon Courier Male Athlete of 2012-2013.

Marvin and Ruth Davenport have returned following an Alaskan cruise. They are now walking on "sea legs".

Betty and Terry Thomas are also home - very tired but pleased that son, Patrick, did so well at the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration held in Shelbyville. They spent the entire 2 weeks with him.

Doug Gaither of Aurora, CO came in for a few days to visit with parents, Winfred and Sara Gaither as well as sister, Donna and Eddie Nichols.

Students at Auburn Elementary enjoyed Carnival Day Thursday before taking a 4-day break from school.

It's time for birthdays and celebrating the 5th are Mary Kemp and Ashley Reiter. Jared Sadder hits his 32nd year the same day nephew, Evan Saddler turns 8 on the 7th. Rachel Melton turns ?? on the 9th and Truitt Parker has his 78th on the 9th. Briar Jakes ends this week's worth of wishes on the 10th. Happy, happy birthday to all of you.

On September 5, 1964, a handsome young man took as his beautiful bride, ME. Well, maybe I did exaggerate on the beautiful part but anyway, happy 49th P-pa.
