The Auburntown City Council met Tuesday, June 3, 2014 for their regular monthly meeting. Mayor Roger Turney and the following Alderpersons were present: Tina Fletcher, Janice Fletcher, Rita Davis, Winfred Gaither and Denise Crowell. The following alderpersons were absent: Frank Patrick.
The minutes of the previous month of May, 2014 were approved as presented by the City Recorder.
The financial report ending May 31, 2014 was presented and discussed at length. There has been some reclassification of some line items and some new terminology applied to meet the demands of the State. After a question and answer period the financial report was approved. Balance of funds on the above date was $63.522.33.
The necessity of an amended budget to clarify some overruns was discussed. An amended budget for FY 2013/2014 was presented to take care of this matter. The proposed amendment was adopted without objection.
The budget for FY 2014/2015 was presented. Following a brief explanation of some items the budget was approved without objections. The total projected Inflow is $60,765 with total expenses $56,837.
