Friends of Adams Memorial Library held it's fourth annual "Roast" on Thursday night at Cannon County High School. Wilma Adams, widow of Frank Adams and well known Cannon County philanthropist, was the subject of the roast this year.
The annual Andrea Walks begins Friday morning at Dillon Park.
"She is a friend to our children. What we do for the children would not be possible without her support."
The Cannon County Senior Center has received many calls from parents wanting to put their child in the Good Ole Days Pageants, and were unable to make the early bird deadline of April 16th.
The University of Tennessee’s Army ROTC department is hosting the 3rd annual Mountain Man Memorial March on Saturday in Gatlinburg. The march began as a way to honor fallen UT alum 1st Lieutenant Frank Walkup, of Woodbury. who was killed in Iraq on June 16th, 2007.
