MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee baseball team fell at the hands of the Memphis Tigers this afternoon for the first time since 2008. A ninth inning bases-loaded single pushed home the game-deciding run for the Tigers, 7-6.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The opening game of the season provided a fair amount of drama for a season opener as the Blue Raiders rallied in the eighth inning to defeat the Memphis Tigers 4-3. It marked the fifth straight season-opening win for the Blue Raiders, and the 12 season-opening victory for coach Steve Peterson.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's basketball team will play its final home game of the 2009-10 campaign at 2 p.m. Sunday when it plays host to South Alabama inside the Murphy Center. It will mark the final appearance in Murfreesboro for five senior players, who will be honored with Senior Day festivities after the game.
Piggly Wiggly and Liquidation Outlets vie for posession.

COOKEVILLE — The top-seeded Cannon County Lionettes opened their district tournament play against the DeKalb County Lady Tigers in semifinal action Friday. Playing without starting post, Lauren Ruehlen, who is lost for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury, the Lionettes were determined to prove that they deserved the No. 1 seeding.
