Thursday night, the Lions and Lionettes traveled to Tullahoma for their second “Hall of Champions” game. The Lionettes, again, got off to a slow start. Cannon finally got on the board when Lauren Ruehlen scored 4 points, putting the Lionettes ahead at the 5:24 mark. This started a 15-0 run which ended with Cannon ahead 17-3, with 1:45 left in the first.

Youth from the Cannon County High School chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) recently participated in a leadership conference held November 11-18, in Washington, DC.

The Historic Cannon County Chamber of Commerce kicked off the holiday season with the first of two days of special shopping opportunities and other activities Friday.

Donna Nichols retired after 44 years with State of Tennessee Friday. Donna began her career with the Welfare Program and continued to work as it changed to the Department of Human Services and now The Department of Child Services.

The City of Woodbury and the Historic Cannon County Chamber of Commerce once again had their Annual Merchants Christmas Open House and the town was full Friday night. You could see just about anything that you wanted to from antiques to a live band in front of the Fine Swine BBQ Restaurant. The band seemed to have their own fan club on the square listening to them.
