Annie Christine Paschal Pitts



Ms. Annie Christine Paschal Pitts went home to be with the Lord on Tues, Feb. 9, 2010 at Community Care of Murfreesboro following an extended illness. A native of Cannon Co., she resided in Murfreesboro. Her parents were the late Charlie Joshua Paschal & Eppie Anne Campbell Paschal.

A celebration of her life will be 2p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Leonard Herman, Bro. Marshal Gupton & Bro. Joe Daniel Davenport officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Riverside cemetery by her husband, Malcolm Pitts who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Anne (Bill) Zapotocky, Grandsons, Michael (Jennifer) Zapotocky and Ryan Zapotocky; 3 great grandchildren, Vincent, Katie & Willie Zapotocky all of Murfreesboro; Niece, Mary Lou Pitts of Woodbury; Nephew, Jerry Carter of Meza, AZ and Danny Carter of Jackson, MI.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers & sister-in-law, Edward & Anna Paschal and Charles Paschal; her sisters & brother-in-law, Ada & Thurman Pitts and Mable Carter.

Ms. Pitts touched many lives through her years of teaching as a high school teacher in Cannon Co where she retired after 38 years. She was also a member of the Sanders Fork Baptist church.

Visitation with the family will be Fri. from 4 pm till 8 pm and Sat. from 11 am until time of service.
