Angeline J. Carnes, 78, of Flora, IL, died on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Flora Rehab & Health Care Center In Flora.

She was born April 11, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Vito and Emily (Rio) Paglia. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Catholic faith. Angeline will be remembered by those around her as providing a beautiful example of how "to love and be loved" in everything she did. She was a special lady. She lived life with a speech and hearing impairment, but this did nothing to lessen her dedication to her family. She found enjoyment in collecting unique decorative elephants and loved animals, especially cats. While living in the nursing home, she spent her time playing bingo, making crafts and playing rummy.

She is survived by her children, Betty (Jeff) Hall of Woodbury, Jerry (Doreen) Phillips of Woodbury, Kathy (Gary) Eskew of Flora, IL.; 3 brothers, Raymond Paglia of Villa Park, Vito Paglia of Lincoln, Jim (Jackie) Lewis of Las Vegas, NV; 9 grandchildren, Angela, Anthony, Brian, Christy, Melissa, Heather, Jeremy, Jason & Rachel; 17 great grandchildren and 2 expected great grandchildren; 2 nephews and 1 niece; Joey Lewis, Jeffrey Lewis, Jennifer Lewis; along with several great nephews, great nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daughter, Angela Phillips and sister-in-law Ange Paglia.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Prater Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday, January 22, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Woodbury Funeral Home, 615-563-2311 or www.woodburyfuneralhome.net
