Staff Alvin Eric "Buddy" Davenport, Jr., 67, of Woodbury died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Stones River Hospital E/R suddenly. He was a native of Cannon Co. He is survived by his children, Donna Faye Murnhan and Samantha Davenport both of Woodbury, Rebecca Ann Ross of Williamstown, NJ., Mary Alvanell Allnutt of Ranson, WV., Gracie Renee Davenport of Purcellville, VA.; 3 Brothers, Robert Hatton Davenport of Merced, CA., Edward Grant Davenport of San Jose, CA., Alan Craig Davenport of Woodbury; 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 6 step grand children He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Eric Davenport, Sr. and Grace Manus Davenport; Grandson, Samuel Eric Southers; Sisters, Donna Sue Odom & Linda Avanell Parker. A member of the Sunny Hill Baptist Church, He was a veteran of Vietnam serving in the Air Force and was retired from United Airlines where he was a store keeper. Funeral Services will be 1 pm Tues, Nov. 19, 2013 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Homewith Bro. John Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Centerhill Cemetery.
