Alvena Hollandsworth Barrett, 95, of Woodbury passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at St. Thomas Stones River. She was the daughter of the late Brown & Maggie Smithson Alexander.

She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, C.B. & Ann Hollandsworth of Woodbury; sister, Nina Hendrixson of Smithville; Step-daughter and Son-in-law,Charlotte & Jimmy Fann of Woodbury; Daughter-in-law, Judy Pelham Hollandsworth of Murfreesboro; 6 grandchildren, Pamela Hollandsworth Perez, Christy Hollandsworth Kane, Spenser Hollandsworth, Andy Hollandsworth, Nicole Duggin Hudson & Becky Fann Haley. Also surviving are 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Barrett was preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Roy Hollandsworth & Charles Barrett; Brother, Arnold Alexander; Sister, Flaklon Bryson Davenport; Son, Danny Jim Hollandsworth, Step-Daughter, Deborah Duggin and step-grandson, Jefffery Fann.

Ms. Alvena was a member of the Woodbury Church of Christ and worked at Colonial Corp. and Fuston's. She enjoyed working in her garden and with her flowers.

Funeral services will be Wed., March 22, 2017 at 11 am in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Gardens cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm until 8 pm Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
