Alleged Probation Violator Can't 'Ditch' Officers



Several people were served arrest warrants recently by local law enforcement officers.

Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Moss, along with Woodbury Police Sgt. Lowell Womack and WPD Patrolman John Fesmire, went to 526 McFerrin St. on Oct. 21 to serve an arrest warrant on Dakota Jones for Violation of Probation.

Upon their arrival the occupants of the house stated Jones was not there and granted officers permission to search the residence.

While Deputy Moss and Patrolman Fesmire were searching, Sgt. Womack gave notification he had found Jones hiding in the ditch behind the residence. He was transported to the Cannon County Jail and turned over to Booking. Initial court date was set for Nov. 29.

• Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Moss along with Woodbury Police Patrolman John Fesmire went to 214 East High St. on Oct. 21 to serve an arrest warrant on Darren Green for Violation of Probation.

Green was apprehended by Patrolman Fesmire while trying to exit the rear of the residence. While searching Green, a pack of rolling papers and a set of scales were recovered from his jacket.

He was subsequent charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and transported to the Cannon County Jail and turned over to Booking. Initial court date is Dec. 6.

• Amanda Rhea Hollis, 122 Meadowbrook Dr., Woodbury, was arrested on a charge of Failure to Appear on Oct. 20 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Matthew Parsley. Hollis was scheduled to begin serving a jail sentence on Sept. 24.

• Joshua Tyler Green was arrested on a Capias on Oct. 20. Green failed to appear for an Oct. 4 date in Cannon County General Sessions Court. His bond was set at $90,000. He is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court on Nov. 10.

• Cannon County Sheriff’s Sgt. Randy Neal and Deputy Eric Moss went to 723 Gassaway Main St. on Oct. 26 and served an arrest warrant on William P. McGee for Violation of Probation. McGee was taken into custody and transported to the Cannon County Jail and turned over to Booking.
