All veterans job fair set
Tuesday, March 10, 2015 1:05 pm DAV and the military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary will produce an All Veterans Career Fair at LP Field on Thursday March 12, 2015. DAV and RecruitMilitary are inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, personnel who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. DAV personnel will be on hand to answer veterans' questions about benefits and to provide them with other valuable information. DAV was founded by World War I veterans in Cincinnati in 1920 and chartered by the United States Congress in 1932. The organization empowers veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. It is dedicated to a single purpose: fulfilling our promises to the men and women who served. DAV does this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them; fighting for the interests of America's injured heroes on Capitol Hill; and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life. DAV (www.dav.org) is a non-profit organization with 1.2 million members.
