Some of the highlights of the Market last Saturday was The Blue Porch featured item Moonshine cookies, Irene Hollis apple fried pie and an amazing selection of Cannon County Grown fruits and vegetables. I was amazed by the comments from customers that seemed surprised that the fruits and vegetables being sold at the Market were grown in Cannon County. That's a real testament to the Market Producer's and the quality of produce available to the Community. Feel free to visit the Market and we are always looking for new producers at the Market. For those looking for locally grown farm fresh vegetables, drop by the Cannon County Farmers Market this Saturday, September 14th for a great selection of fruits, vegetables and baked good including; butternut, cucumbers, eggplant, fresh herbs, peppers (Anaheim, bell, banana, Poblano, cayenne, jalapeno, sweet banana), okra, potatoes (Irish new potatoes), sweet potatoes, squash (zucchini and yellow), sweet corn, tomatoes (red, yellow and green), watermelons, assortment of squash. Irene Hollis and Lindsey Parsley have a great selection of homemade fried pies and assortment of jams, jellies and baked goods. Another Vendor joined the Market on Saturday, Brian Jakoby with Holy Smoke Barbeque. It's a double treat for this upcoming Saturday, Cannon County Farmer's Market and White Oak Craft Fair. This is the only day of the year the Producers make way for the crafters to showcase their handiwork. But no worries, the Market will be held on the east end of the parking lot at the Arts Center.

The Cannon County Farmers Market is located at the Arts Center of Cannon County every Saturday beginning at 6:00 A.M. Most Saturdays the market is open until noon or until the farm fresh fruits and vegetables have been sold. Best way to get the best selection is to come early! Local businesses supporting the Cannon County Farmer's Market, includes; Osborn's Piggy Wiggly, Save a Lot, Chilango's and the Blue Porch. We appreciate their support for utilizing locally grown, farm fresh items.
