For more than 60 years, THCA has worked to meet the needs of thousands of elderly and disabled Tennesseans through its representation of licensed nursing homes and assisted care living facilities. Adkins will serve as a leader and policymaker for the association as it continues to enhance the abilities of its members to provide essential long-term care services through education, advocacy and leadership. “James Adkins’ leadership and experience will be an asset to us as we address the challenges facing Tennessee’s long-term care facilities,” THCA President Mark Davis said. “We are grateful for his service to this organization as we strive to help our members as they provide high quality care and a wide range of services to the elderly and disabled in their communities.” Adkins lives in Woodbury with his wife, Ramona. Their son Jay is currently deployed overseas in the U.S. Army. The Tennessee Health Care Association is a nonprofit organization founded in 1947 that represents long-term care facilities located throughout the state.
