AAA: Gas Prices On Unusual Decline

According to AAA (The Auto Club Group), the national average price of a gallon of gas dropped six cents from last week. The organization says the decline is unusual for this time of year.
The state average last week came in at $2.35 for a regular gallon of gas which was down .11 cents from the previous week. The average price of a regular gallon of gas a year ago was $2.64 in the Volunteer State.
The average price of a gallon of gas in Cannon County last week was $2.45 a gallon. Other surrounding counties gas prices per gallon include: Dekalb $2.51, Wilson $2.33, Warren $2.28, Coffee $2.22, Rutherford $2.33 and Bedford $2.20.
The AAA weekly report states that pump prices usually trickle higher during the summer months due to increased demand.
