It wasn't a win and the game wasn't a pretty one, but the Cannon County Lions sent off the senior football team members with a season finale to remember for the ages in a wild York win 68-27 that saw pretty much everything you could experience in a game and then some.

The Lions posted a season best scoring 27 points, but they also gave up a season best 68 points to the opposing team from Jamestown.

The game was filled with mistakes and both teams capitalized as Charlie Parrish also threw a season high three touchdowns in a game.

The first mistake was costly for the Dragons as they returned a punt from the opening drive 61 yards to the Cannon County 2 yard line. Two plays later they fumbled the football and Cannon County's Pearson Hughes covered it up to prevent York from scoring.

The Lions couldn't advance the ball after getting it back so another punt enabled York to get the ball. The Dragons took that drive in 6 plays and 40 yards and scored to go up 7-0.

It didn't take long for another miscue. This time it was the Lions punting at their own 18. The snap was over punter Wade Love's head and he had to go back to the end zone to chase it down. Love recovered the ball but then fumbled it as York recovered in the end zone to make the score 14-0.

In the second quarter after York scored again to make it 21-0, Cannon County got on the board with a Mike Williams end around run for 45 yards in one play to make it 21-6 as the two point conversion failed. York answered it with a one-play, 40-yard run 13 seconds later to go up 27-6.

Right before halftime, down 33-6, the Lions would put together a solid drive resulting in a Charlie Parrish 6-yard scoring pass to Wade Love. The score would happen after Cannon recovered a York fumble and made it 33-12 by halftime.

The second half started with the Dragons receiving the ball. However, an onside kick that would be recovered by Cannon gave them the ball. The closest that the Lions would come in this game came on the 2-play drive when Parrish threw for his second touchdown of the evening, a 47-yard hookup to Michael Lockhart.
The pair would get together again for a successful two-point conversion closing the score to 33-20.

The Dragons would answer by scoring 21 points before Cannon could respond. Down 54-20 in the fourth quarter, Parrish would throw a perfect 31 yard strike to Love to make it 54-27. York would score two more rushing touchdowns to finish out the game 68-27.

The Lions collected 237 yards of total offense. Cannon County finishes the season 0-10 with 16 losses in a row.
