50 firearms reported stolen by son

Thefts

Clayton Underwood, 23, was charged with destruction of evidence, drug paraphernalia and six counts of theft under $1,000 following an investigation by the Cannon County Sheriff's Department.

He is accused of stealing approximately 50 pistols, rifles and shotguns from his father's home. Among the missing items are three Ruger .357 magnums, two Ruger .44 magnum, a Smith & Wesson .357 magnum and a Glock .40-caliber pistol.

Among the missing shotguns are several Belgium Browning 12-gauges. Missing rifles include a Ruger .300 Magnum with Nikon scope, an M1 carbine and two Winchester model 94s.

A number of tools were also taken including Stihl chainsaws and weedeaters, a 12-foot jon boat, a table saw and multiple air tools valued at $1,000.

Underwood is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond. A hearing was set for General Sessions Court.


Stolen Cars

A 2003 Ford Taurus, reported stolen out of Franklin County, was discovered on Green Road.

A vehicle belonging to Jerry Creager was recovered by Murfreesboro Police. Taken into custody was Anita Climer, aka, Anita Harden. Additional charges of drug paraphernalia, violation of probation and driving without a license were charged.


Vandalism

Vandals knocked over an exterior air conditioning unit at Iconium Church of Christ and did donuts in the side yard of the church. A witness spotted an older pickup truck with a flag sticking out the back.


Child Neglect

Manda Wagner, 34, of Readyville was charged by warrant with child neglect and theft under $1,000. A hearing was set for October 4 in General Sessions Court.


Stolen Roosters

A resident of Orville Duke Road reported a gallon jug of silver coins was taken during a break-in. Approximately 40 roosters were also taken.


Woodbury Police

Burglary

Caden K. Jones was charged with burglary of a home on McMinnville Highway, vandalism, public intoxication and violation of a court order by Patrolman Tommy Miller. A hearing is set for September 13 in General Sessions Court.

Drug Paraphernalia

Jimmy Lynn Driver was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence by Patrolman Joshua Thomas. A hearing is set for September 13 in General Sessions Court.

Jordan B. Merriman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence by Patrolman Joshua Thomas. A hearing is set for September 13 in General Sessions Court.

Melissa Ann Luttrell was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence by Patrolman Joshua Thomas. A hearing is set for September 13 in General Sessions Court.

DUI

Brandi Lynn Dorris was charged with DUI, first offense, by Patrolman John House. A hearing is set for November 8 in General Sessions Court.
