11 Grand Jury Defendants Arraigned

Thursday was arraignment day for those defendants indicted by the January, 2010 term of the Cannon County Grand Jury. Those defendants who were arraigned during the session included:

Anthony Adamson for 25 counts of rape, 20 counts of sexual battery by an authority figure, 5 counts of coercion of a witness and 5 counts of delivery of marijuana,

Paul Warren for misapplication of contract payments and theft,

Janice Adrian for theft,

James Lee Pendergrass for driving while license suspended, violation of the open container law, speeding and financial responsibility violation;

Steven Hollis for burglary, theft, two counts of vandalism, criminal impersonation and possession of burglary tools;

Ethan Cord Taylor for two counts of theft, coercion of a witness, two counts of aggravated burglary and criminal trespassing;

Benjamin Yuk Lin Liau for introduction of contraband into a penal institution and failure to appear;

Brian Alan Stafford for three counts of theft;

Michael Wayne Ragan for four counts of theft;

Melissa Archey for theft;

and Vickie Marsh for driving under the influence, violation of implied consent law, driving without a license and violation of insurance law;

The next step for these defendants will be plea day. Plea day will take place on March 4, 2010 and at that hearing they will enter formal pleas of guilty or not guilty to their charges. They will also enter into discussions with the district attorney or set their cases for trial.
